Home warranty rules in Wyoming

What the trade sells as a home warranty is, in law, a service contract: a paid promise to repair or replace named home systems and appliances. Wyoming's statute calls it a "service contract". It is not a builder's or manufacturer's warranty and it is not homeowners insurance; the contract you receive governs.

All providers of service contracts sold in Wyoming must register with the Department of Insurance. Source.
Registered providers are exempt from the rest of the insurance code and need not file forms for approval, though forms must comply. Source.
